Bullies Tear drop

In a prior art creation also posted on this blog in the grade 11 page, Bullies Tear drop inspired me because that piece’s purpose was to put sadness into thoughts – quite similar to “Strongest Soldier”. The subject was to state their own feelings of what it would be/feel like to be in their own shoes.

This is dedicated to 2 conceptual photographers who inspired my conceptual photography piece called “allegory” found in my grade 12 work!Erik Johansson’s complementary photography piece “Endless Reflections” and Benoit Paille’s complementary piece “CROSSROAD OF REALITIES” inspired me a great deal to create my first piece of the new school year (grade 12). These two pieces gave me a light bulb as I looked for inspiration. The instruction for this assignment was This project focuses on employing the elements and principles of design to create a unique and creatively original work based
on a theme. The practical application will include managing and organizing layers, masking, adding textures, adjusting lighting, and colour schemes to convey meaning in the final piece, using Adobe Photoshop CS6. Johansson’s art piece helped me in way that seems strange. In my own perspective, I see this as a reflection with many parts – each part has a role in a whole in this case the reflection. My piece consists of two subjects, two subjects that symbolize/reflect fashion history. Next, Benoit Paille’s work helped me with the idea of how to display my new art piece. Cameras record images. Images that we see with our eyes are fleeting – one moment they are there, the next moment they are gone. That being said, I wanted to capture an entire image containing parts in order to make reflection whole.
